The only requirement for AA membership is a desire to stop drinking.
Anyone can attend an “Open” meeting to see how AA works.
A “Closed” meeting means for Alcoholics only and is closed to outside public. Anyone with a desire to stop drinking can attend both “Closed” and “Open” meetings.
